10-Hole Hero:
The Shoulder Stock

DETAILS OF THE 10-HOLE HERO SHOULDER STOCK

There aren't that many differences between the stock on the 10-Hole Hero and the other Hero Pulse Rifles.

As the barrel vent, the Shoulder Stock was made from 40mx40mm steel square tube with a wall thickness of 3mm (credit to Bug Stomper for this information). The shoulder plate was then welded to the rest of the stock.

The stock was initially attached to the upper receiver of the Thompson M1A1 with a small metal plate which was screwed into the pre-existing holes for the M1A1 rear sight. The stock had long slots accomodating these screws which allowed the stock to slide back and forward. There was no discernible locking mechanism, it seems the stock was stopped from sliding in too far by two screws that could be moved around.

Apparently, the metal plate was later removed (as referenced in this article). It is however unclear whether the stock was really secured this way.

The only real differences between the 10-Hole Hero Stock and the rest of the stocks (including the Delta Pulse Rifle) was that the cutout on the right side was more squared on the 10-Hole Hero (see above picture also)whereas it was much more curved on the other Pulse Rifles.

As on the Barrel Vent, the Shoulder Stock of the 10-Hole Hero did not have a sling loop, the sling hook was simply connected through the slots. All other Shoulder Stocks have a sling loop welded to them.

Based on the excellent plans by Bug Stomper, I have created the shoulder stock in Fusion 3D and am offering it for download below.
